XFX 256MB GeForce 8800 GT turns up in stores
When XFX sent out the press release announcing its 256MB GeForce 8800 GT cards they promised an availability in the following weeks and as time goes by we're seeing them get closer. So close in fact that both the 'regular' and the overclocked XXX edition of the card can now be spotted in several European online stores. The lowest prices for XFX's cards can be found at Komplette.de where a pure and simple 256MB 8800 GT clocked at 600/1400 MHz for the core/memory is priced at 172 euros. For the XXX Edition the German store wants no less than 195 euros, more than a 512MB Radeon HD 3850 which, although probably slower, it has the advantage of memory (and in this case, it matters). The clocks of the XXX Edition stand at 670/1950 MHz (core/memory) which might suggest even the plain ol' version has its memory set to 1800 MHz but we'll wait for more concrete info.
