It's not like graphics chips are not doing well but the discrete graphics card market has not been up to par with the IGP and notebook graphics segment for some time now. Still, there is hope as card manufacturers are expecting a significant boost in demand and sales next year in Q2.
With more DirectX 10 games to choose from and the release Vista Service Pack 1, people are expected to want to upgrade to a DirectX10-supporting card, be it low- mid- or high-end. Now back to the holiday shopping season. read more
