Hulu attracts more media companies, enters private beta

Tuesday, October 30, 2007

The seemingly meaningless offspring of NBC Universal and News Corp, Hulu.com is starting to get more attention, so much, it may actually rival Apple's iTunes. The new service is set to offer ad-supported video content and has now signed both Sony Pictures Television and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios just in time for the launch of the public beta stage.

At first, Hulu will offer some 90 shows, both new and old and 10 films including classics like The Blues Brothers and The Breakfast Club.
