PSP 3.90 update released, Skype function ready for use
As promised, at least when it comes to the European release, Sony has unleashed the 3.90 firmware version for PlayStation Portable. The new firmware will enable owners of PSP-2000 handhelds to get acquainted and use Skype and chat for as long as the batteries hold up.
By using a headset and maybe a Go! Cam the PSP will become the Skype phone you never though of getting as you can always stop talking and start playing. In addition to Skype functionality the update will also add the Go! Messenger icon so as everyone knows it is inbound and will be live in March. The messenger is set to be available for all PSP models.
