Sapphire comes with overclocked AGP Radeon HD 3850
Following on PowerColor's footsteps another AMD add-in board partner, Sapphire has unveiled an AGP version of the RV670-equipped Radeon HD 3850. The upcoming card works with AGP 4x/8x slots, it features a non-reference cooler and, best of all, slightly higher frequencies for both the 55nm-built core and the GDDR3 memory.
Sapphire's card has its GPU and memory set to 700 and 1692 MHz respectively while the stock clocks reach only 668 and 1660 MHz. Equipped with 512 MB of memory the card needs external power through one 8-pin connector but that comes to no surprise. The card's price tag or retail availability have not been announced.
