Asus expects to sell 5 million Eee PCs in 2008
GPL violation aside the Eee PC is currently doing pretty good in almost every market and Asus expects it to do even better in the future. Asus is selling about 20,000 Eee PCs per month already but it is next year that the company expect the low-cost laptop to really pick up and do better than previously expected. The 3 million sold Eee PCs prediction for 2008 has now been scrapped by the Taiwanese company and it has been replaced the even, round number that is 5 million.

Next year the Eee PC will be released in more than 10 Asian countries and will get a boost in power courtesy of the 8G model. The sweet smell of success is in the air tonight.
