Nintendo Wii and Brown Zune, best sellers on Cyber Monday

Following the grand results from Thanksgiving and Black Friday it is time to move forward in time space and money spending and talk about Cyber Monday. On this relatively ordinary day with a 'special name' the shops have again been assaulted by buyers and as always PriceGrabber was there to help people find what they want to get. According to the shopping service Cyber Monday saw its traffic increase by 54% over the corresponding day in 2006.

From what PriceGrabber recorded the best seller this past Monday was Nintendo's cute and cuddly console the Wii while second and third place in the sales charts were taken by Microsoft's Brown Zune and a Western Digital 500 GB external hard drive. While the Wii was expected to be that popular on Cyber Monday the Brown Zune's second place is a little surprising given the fact that the second-gen Zunes have already been released and, let's face it, it isn't the prettiest of the 30G Zunes. Still, price was the key word here and it seems Microsoft's tactic managed to convince a lot of people into buying the first-gen Zune stock still available. read more
