Coming to aid the enterprise search section Dell has now released the Google Search Appliance and the Google Mini. The two appliances/servers provide secure searches across all enterprise content like document management systems, intranets, portals, databases and legacy applications and deliver relevant search results from information sources within the company’s firewall.
“Having the Google Search Appliance and Google Mini available from Dell bolsters our enterprise offerings and helps simplify the search engine process for our commercial and public customers,” said Terry Klein, Dell vice president, Americas Advanced Solutions Group. “Google’s turnkey search appliances align well with Dell’s priority to simplify information technology in the data center.”
Currently available for US customers the Google Mini rack starts off at $1,995 while the Google Search Appliance has a price tag that starts at $30,000.
